No Witnesses Privacy Policy

The short version: your progress stays on your device, we run no servers and hold no accounts. The game does show ads, and those ads come from Google, so this page explains exactly what that involves.

Last updated: 8 September 2026 · No Witnesses for iOS (com.ascend-solutions.nowitnesses), published by Ascend Solutions, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

What the game stores, and where

Your progress is stored only on your iPhone or iPad: best floor, best score, cash, which coats and packs you own, story progress, and your sound, haptics and control settings. It never leaves the device except through your own iCloud device backup and the optional Game Center score and achievement reporting described below. Apple controls those services through your account settings.

There are no accounts to create, no profile, and no servers or databases operated by us. We cannot see your progress and we have no way to identify you.

Advertising

The game offers only optional ads you can choose to watch in exchange for a reward. There are no forced ads. These are served by Google AdMob, which is a third party with its own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

To serve and measure those ads, Google may receive your device's advertising identifier, approximate location inferred from your IP address, device and app information, and records of ads you were shown or interacted with. This data is handled by Google under their policy, not by us. We receive only aggregate reporting: how many ads were shown and what they earned. We never receive anything that identifies you.

Tracking, and your choice about it

On first launch, before the game starts its network services, iOS asks whether the game may track you across other companies' apps and websites. That prompt is Apple's App Tracking Transparency system, and the choice is entirely yours. The prompt appears only when iOS permits a request and you have not already made a choice. Regional consent, StoreKit product loading, Game Center sign-in, and advertising initialization follow that decision.

If you decline, the game still works exactly the same and you still get every earned reward. The game requests non-personalized ads without access to your advertising identifier, and disables Google's publisher first-party identifier. Non-personalized ads may still use data needed to serve and measure ads, as described above. You can change your answer at any time in iOS Settings, under Privacy & Security, Tracking.

In the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, Switzerland and a number of US states, you are additionally shown Google's consent form before any personalised ad request. Your answer is recorded on your device by Google's User Messaging Platform, and you can reopen that form from Settings → Ad Privacy when Google requires that option.

Apple's SKAdNetwork is also used. It is Apple's privacy-preserving way of measuring whether an ad led to an install, and it is designed so that neither we nor the advertiser can tie an install back to an individual person or device.

Purchases

The game sells one-time content purchases: The Whole Job, The Contract Book, The Velvet List, Scorched Earth, and The Black Case. It does not sell cash packs or ad removal. Every purchase is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles billing and refunds through your Apple Account settings, and we never see your payment details. Apple's own privacy policy governs the transaction. The game checks your purchase status with Apple's StoreKit framework on your device.

Game Center

If you are signed in to Game Center, your best floor and best score are submitted to Apple's leaderboards, and achievement progress is recorded, so that scores can be ranked against other players. That information is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy, and what other players can see is governed by your own Game Center settings.

Game Center is entirely optional. Declining to sign in costs you nothing: your bests are kept on your device either way, and the game plays identically.

Analytics

The game contains no analytics SDK. We do not track how you play, how long you play, or which floors you reach. Beyond the ad reporting described above and the sales figures Apple provides, we receive nothing.

Children

This game is not directed at children under 13, is rated for a mature audience because of its content, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Because it shows third-party advertising and asks for tracking permission, it is not suitable for a child's device and is not enrolled in Apple's Kids Category.

Your rights

Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to export or delete on request. To remove everything the game has stored, delete the app: that erases all local progress. To reset your advertising identifier or withdraw tracking permission, use iOS Settings, under Privacy & Security. To withdraw consent for personalised ads where that consent applies, reopen the privacy form from the title screen.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date.
